The Rabbinical Assembly, founded in 1901, is
the international association of Conservative rabbis. The Assembly actively promotes
the cause of Conservative Judaism and works unceasingly to benefit Klal Yisrael,
publishes learned texts, prayerbooks and works of Jewish interest;
The latin american region congregates the rabbis
from Argentina, Bolivia, Brasil, Colombia, Chile, Mexico, Uruguai, Panamá, Paraguai,
Peru, Puerto Rico , Costa Rica, Aruba and San Salvador. The Rabbis have an annual convention in which
they study, work, interchange of experiences e and analyse criterias.
The Rabbinical Assembly has elections for its
Board of Directors at every two years.
During the convention, held in Colonia,
Uruguay,in 2006 Rabbi Adrián Gottfried, who lives in Brasil, was elected President for a mandate of two years.
